The First 8

Alexandra is a British-New Zealand composer, performer, lyricist and arranger with a passion for both classical and contemporary music, specialising in composing for theatre and in the future extending to film and television. Alexandra has studied at the University of Canterbury (UC) recently completing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Composition. Alexandra is looking forward to producing both CLEO and The First 8 at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Lucie trained at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s School of Acting, graduating in 2025. She is an actor-singer and actor-musician, specialising in Trumpet and brass instruments. She is so excited to be working on this project and can’t wait to bring these stories to life!

Jasmine is a recently graduated Actor from Kent. She has been performing as both an actor and singer from a young age, starting out with the Kent Youth Choir and eventually progressing on to an acting degree at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. While studying for her degree she was part of the inaugural concert production of The First 8 originating the role of Joan Hughes which she is reprising in this production!

Catriona is an actor, dancer, singer, and songwriter from Glasgow. She just recently graduated from Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre with a Dance Emphasis. Catriona is so excited to be returning to the Fringe again and is thrilled to be involved in two new musicals! She’d like to thank everyone for coming and hopes you enjoy the show! Josh has been a professional performer for over 12 years. He has appeared in a variety of different performances including roles in several musicals and touring shows, as well as 4 years on cruise ships. He is looking forward to making his fringe theatre debut in Edinburgh.
